Privacy policy for mobile application 'FoodSeeq'

FoodSeeq
- FoodSeeq enables you to store personal information. The information you enter in the diary using this application is stored exclusively on your mobile device and will not in any form be transmitted outside your device, unless you yourself explicitly choose to activate the app's synchronization feature (see under 'Synchronization') which by default is disactivated when the app is newly installed on your device.
- The app is not able to function without storing on your mobile device the information you enter in the app's diary section. By using the FoodSeeq app you give permission to the app to store on your mobile device the information you enter using the app.
- The FoodSeeq app does not use any method to share the information you enter in the app's diary section with any other device, unless you yourself choose to a) either share a PDF document generated by this app or b) activate the app's synchronization feature (see under 'Synchronization').

Synchronization
If you wish to enter and/or view information previously entered into the FoodSeeq app using more than one mobile device, or if you yourself explicitly wish to enable a third party - for instance your health care provider - to monitor the data you enter into the FoodSeeq app, you may activate the app's synchronization feature. To enable synchronizing the data you entered into the app between two or more of your mobile devices, or to allow a third party - for instance your health care provicer - to monitor the data you enter into the FoodSeeq app, it is necessary for the data you entered into the FoodSeeq app to also be stored in the RIOM bv cloud server database. These data are encrypted before being stored in the RIOM bv cloud server database. Data communication between your mobile device(s) and the RIOM bv cloud server database uses an encrypted data communication channel. Data stored in the RIOM bv cloud server database to enable synchronization between your devices and/or between your device(s) and a third party of your own choice are shared with no other person or organization.
End synchronization
At any moment you may choose to disactivate the FoodSeeq app's synchronization feature. When you disactivate the FoodSeeq app's synchronization feature, your data will be erased from the RIOM bv cloud server database.

We welcome you to get into contact with us using email, for instance to inform us about your opinions on the FoodSeeq app or to share any suggestions for improvement. All information you wish to share with us by means of email, including your email address, will be treated confidently, and will only be used to adequately respond to your email or to improve the app. This information will not be shared with any third party without your explicit consent.
Security
The security of any personal information you wish to share with us by means of email is of the highest importance to us. Be aware however that it is not possible to guarantee absolute security of any information transport using the Internet or any information storage. Using all commercially acceptable techniques we will protect the security of any personal information you wish to share with us by means of email, however it is not possible to guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy is effective from October 1st, 2017. Changes to this privacy policy will be effective immediately after being published on this page.
This privacy policy may be changed at any moment of time; you are advised to regularly consult the privacy policy status published on this page. Continuing to use the application after privacy policy changes were published on this page is understood as you being aware of the changes to this policy.
